Drop Chair

The goal with designing this chair was to create a product that could be manifested from the material drop of other projects. At the end of any stair or rail project, we would have many small pieces of steel and wood that would otherwise be unusable. Using a combination of wood and steel, it is easier to get away with using smaller pieces. This product would also give us the opportunity to create a dining table set that matches the aesthetic and material choice of details within a project. A simple Sketchup drawing informed a prototype and the final product used walnut and blackened steel.
