With the sense of pandemic-induced isolation and stagnation setting in, we recognized now, more than ever, the importance of collaboration. The question "what happens with the intersection of a painter and a wood sculptor" had weighed on our minds. These works are our debut as a team and follow months of conceptual scheming.
The Ego Erodes, but the Spirit Endures
When humanity is met with adversity, especially of this sort, many are forced to look inward. It has been a time to face repressed issues that otherwise fell behind the daily routine of pre-pandemic life. Many facets of individual identity were stripped. Families lost, jobs suspended, friendships damaged, for some, the world had fallen apart. This piece is a reminder that while the ego may be damaged, the spirit will endure and carry on.
